Shay Mitchell hails from Canada and is a performer, model, businesswoman. Her most famous work is her character Emily Fields in the Freeform show Pretty Little Liars. She talked with her parents about the possibility of pursuing an acting career. She wanted to take acting classes in Toronto after achieving great results in modeling and dance. After scoring a couple of advertisements and guest roles on the television show Mitchell received her first big break when she was cast as Emily Fields in Pretty Little Liars. Both critics and her fans appreciated her performance. She then went on to be a star on the screen, with films like Dreamland, Mother's Day and The Possession of Hannah Grace. The film gained her more acclaim due to her performance as an actor in a thriller about psychological issues in You. Apart from acting Shay Mitchell has also ventured into writing. She co-wrote an adult novel titled Bliss with Michaela Blaney.
